Problem in saveOrUpdate()

I am loading the data through a method, (using criteria), editing the value and then passing onto the different method with code as session.saveOrUpdate(). Here is the code

public void saveOrUpdateClassFeeMaster(ClassFeeMasterEntity cfme){
		
		Configuration config = new Configuration();
		config.configure();
		
		SessionFactory factory = config.buildSessionFactory();
		
		Session session = factory.openSession();
		
		Transaction trans = session.beginTransaction();
		
		System.out.println(cfme.getClassAdmitted()); //prints the edited value
		
		System.out.println(cfme.getTuitionFee()); //prints the edited value
		
		session.saveOrUpdate(cfme); //Gives the exception
