Hi everbody
for a new comer to the field should he learn STRUTS 2 or 1.3.8

when struts 2 is realeased , did companies start using it ?
shuld he learn both so he can support older applications
is there is any migration tool that convert the 1.3.8 code to 2 code , i can some differences in the syntax between both versions

I imagine Struts 2 is being used from the quantity of questions about it. There are migration strategies & tools described.

They are different enough that it's probably easiest learning one at a time.

yes, i just started a new project and i m using struts2, i mnot expert but if you are startiung a new project i can help youi if i can in any ways. i m not an expert but knows a bit.

Better go for Struts 2. I'm sure most of the legacy applications on older Struts versions will soon be migrated to Struts 2 because of it's excellent features and ease of use.
