Welcome,
How to you intend to run these powerpoint files? Usually the file extension in windows will dictate which application to use. .ppt, .pptx etc.
Is this a web app, in which case the files are hosted remotely or stand alone running on the users machine?
You really need to provide some more information so we can help.

Its a Desktop application, it will just excute them not run them
Iv tried using
desktop = Desktop.getDesktop(); and
Runtime.getRuntime().exec("rundll32 SHELL32.DLL, ShellExec_RunDLL " + cc);
e.g.
Desktop.getDesktop().open(new File("C:\\Workshop.ppt"))
but this code keep on bringing up a exception
I'm sure glad that he's gone. Now I can read this tiny ad in peace!
