Im am writting a Desktop application that will be exe or jad

I normally store other files at src folder but just realized that neatbeans copy's all that Information to
the Build folder....im planning to have about 500 files/pps and more or less 600mb of data....
its going to be inconsistent if it doubles the size on run time...Any tips or am I incrorrect??

and how will I acess them ?? I normally say

"C:\\Users\\LeRoy\\Desktop\\Tester\\Prototyp1\\resource\\documents"

but since this program will be installed in different desktops , What do I say?

Thank you
