Cool! A nitpick though: it's as massive as Jupiter, so must be much smaller because it's denser. Still, it's way bigger than the largest diamond I've ever heard of, which was only As Big As The Ritz.

Sorry.... wasn't paying enough attention. Correct. It is as massive as Jupiter. The size is estimated as "five times the size of the earth"..... still, that is one huge diamond.

According to Google calculator, the mass of Jupiter = 9.4935 × 10^30 carats, which is almost 9.5 nonillion, so yeah, pretty big. Remember though, you'd lose a nonillion or two in the cutting!

So, if they American government was able to go get a few tons of it, they could use it to find social security! In fact, no one would have to work. Right? Right?

Maybe we could harvest some of the diamond and build a ring around the earth supported by some really tall towers/elevators.
