Hi, Head First EJB is about EJB 2.0 and you want something about EJB 3. I've read EJB in Action and I can honestly recommend it. Also EJB 3 specification is a good option.

Hello All,

Is it a good option to read Head First EJB?

As per my understanding, Head First EJB deals with EJB 2.0 and Exam is completely on EJB 3.0

Thanks in advance.

If I am I preparing BCD exam, I will recommend the book EJB3 in Action. Of course is this book alone enough, I don't know.

the latest exam for EJB certification is bases on ejb 3.1 certification. EJB 3 in action is a good book though it does not cover new features in EJB 3.1. for that go for Oreilly Enterprise JavaBeans 3.1. also ejb 3.1 speicification might be useful. Please go through OCPJBCD links which will provide you very useful links .

Well, if you need 'the best' book, then I would highly recommend the official EJB 3.1 specs.

It can be downloaded for free, and it (obviously) covers everything from OCPJBCD objectives.

Of course, other books like EJB 3 in Action, Enterprise JavaBeans 3.1 or EJB 3.1 cookbook are also good books, but those will be more useful during actual development of EJB application.

I hope this helps.

Why is Scbcdlinks losing it's relevance? Why anybody posting for books not look into this link? I mean Head First EJB is ancient man! It's deprecated like Head First EJB

O'Reilly book, manning book and EJB 3.1 specs are good info to check out for! Stop being misled.

Thanks
