difference between struts 1.0 and struts 1.1

can any one briefly explain the difference between struts 1.0 and struts 1.1?

Both Struts 1.0 and 1.1 are quite dated. The current version is 1.2.9 or 2.0.11.

If you are working on old code and need to know the difference for that, check out this article from 2002.

The series of articles that Jeanne referred to gives a good explanation of the differences between Struts 1.1 and 1.0. This link takes you to part 1 of that series, which explains the differences more fully.

However, I'd hardly use the term "new" to describe Struts 1.1. It's about 6 years old, which is positively ancient in web development terms.

Jeanne answered that in her post. Struts 1.2 is compatible to 1.1, while Struts 2 is very different.
