Dear all,

I want to implement the following:

A client-sided powerful data cleaning and analysis tool that has great visualization opportunities.

I think a Java Applet can do client-sided analysis and cleaning but does not have good visualization opportunities(?). I found many visualization techniques for JavaScript but I can't use Weka for the data mining. With a web based solution I can combine the two things but it will be server-sided, right?

I'm not even sure if a client-sided solution is the way to go. On the one hand the data transfer from the client to the server might get very big (up to several gb). When there are many clients at once the server can't cope all the analysis and cleaning tasks. On the other hand the procedures are very complex and might take a lot of time to calculate on a slow client. Is there a (scientific) way how I can determine my bottleneck?
