Hi,
I am looking for a SCBCD 5 Certification. I found 3 related exams are available :-
1. Oracle Certified Professional, Java EE 5 Business Component Exam Number: 1Z0-860
2. Oracle Certified Expert, Java EE 6 Enterprise JavaBeans Developer : Exam Number: 1Z0-895
3. CX-310-090 SCBCD (I think this exam is retired now)

Please help me understand the difference between 1 and 2 and which one is more relevant.
Please also provide a good Mock exam site for them.

thanks in advance.

The first option you mentioned is EJB + JPA and the second option is only EJB. At the times when these EE certifications got upgraded to match the latest Java EE specifications, Oracle acquired Sun Microsystems and it was decided to have JPA as a separate certification starting with Java EE 6.

Can you suggest any good book for passing the exam(EJB3 and JPA)? I have read HeadFirst, but that is all about EJB2.0(and now its legacy ) and since then there is no other release from HF series on EJB3.

Unfortunately no Head First Series for EJB 3 and later.

But fortunately, there are a couple of other books that you could refer to prepare for the exam. Pro JPA 2, Enterprice JavaBeans 3.x. The EJB and JPA specifications are also worth to read.
