I have a requirement where I need to parse an RTF file using Java and identify lines that have a particular color and are in bold text.
is there any standard Java API that I can use ? If no, is there any other API available to do that.

There is no simple built-in API for reading RTF in Java (I am sure you could use built-in stuff, but you would have to do all the parsing and such yourself, which is what Aspose does for you). As for open source stuff, when you did an internet search what did you find and how did the things you found not suite your needs?

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
