Connection failure - web service

Our system is getting a connection timed out when calling a web service, can someone let me know the steps I should be taking to try and resolve the issue as i havent got a clue where to begin, i didnt develop the application but have to support it now, it was working fine up untill last week and it doesnt look like the application, codewise, has changed since

If you are trying to call web service from SOAP UI as client, in the properties set the timeout to be '0', which is infinite for SOAP UI with no timeout limit.

If the client is not SOAP UI, make sure the web service wsdl is accessible, if not you can try to restart web service and see if your client will be able to hit the service.

Hi thanks for the reply, how do i make sure wsldis accessibile and how would I restart the web service, i have restarterd apache tomcat a few times but to no avail, is there a different method needed to restart the services, i have tcpmon installed but i do not even know what port to look at and even how I could find this out, i have access to the server so if anyone can point me in the right directions that would be great
