Hello

Today,I was reading some of the post in this forum and there is a post which says "Java won't be supported after february 2013".
I about to give my OCJP 6 exam and had lot of preparation via online mocks, enthuware mocks and examlab mocks.I also gave this test before but failed(Didn't prepared well at that time).
So now I am bit afraid to give it.
My question is Is it wise and benificial to give OCJP 6 now because I am a fresher and soon be applying for jobs.So I need this certification to have a little value to my resume.
Is it recognized as it is before or now it is OCJP 7 all over the way.

Its Java 6 and not Java.

So what even if you have a OCPJP 6 certification it has its importance. Read what gurpeet singh said here. Don't worry about all these version number they come and go. Java 8 will also come and then same thing is going to happen with Java 7. There are old guys with lots of experience still having their SCJP 2 certificates, since Java 7 came that doesn't mean they should throw their certificates or the certificates don't have meaning. They (certificates) had meaning will have meaning.

No need to be afraid. One more thing even if you had prepared for Java 6, there is no need to be afraid of Java 7.
Java 6 and Java 7 are almost same with few improvements which you can Google.
