Hi,
I am planning to take to give SCJP and IBM websphere8.0 administrator certification in the coming few months. I have enough info about SCJP but I couldnt find out much about the websphere certification. Can anyone provide some useful links for the websphere certification. What study material to go through? Is there any official study guide? And what kind of jobs/package can I expect after giving these certifications?

Thanks,
Chetan Sama

Welcome to the Ranch, Chetan.
Good luck with your aspiration. Let's hope someone over here has experience with this certificate.

Howdy Chetan!

Please, refer this link: http://www-03.ibm.com/certify/tests/edu317.shtml

There is no "official study guide" for IBM WAS exam (and never was in tha past).

I suggest you to follow the links to WAS InfoCenter from that page (section "Web Resource"). From my experience, questions on exam asks question about those areas which are listed on "Web Resource" section.

What kind of job are you looking for? Because a Java developer and a WebSphere administrator are in different tracks.

And a certification doesn't give you a job/package. It helps you show evidence of knowledge.

I have put together a study guide for IBM WebSphere Administration Certification (Ver 8.5). You can download it for free at http://bit.ly/1gIyzR4

Good luck.
