How strict is the procedure for an application server manufacturer to get EE 6 compliance awarded ?
The reason for this question is rooted in a painful choice we've made to go with Spring or full regular EE 6. For a product that should run on the customer's application server. Instead of imposing our own.
In the end we decided to go with Spring because:
* With Spring (or anything else than EE) we keep full control over the product's behavior.
* EE 6 compliance seems to be something self-awarded.
* Hence there's always the danger some manufacturers interpret the JSR's in different ways.
* As a consequence, when being faced with those product-specific differences we're stuck. And might lose the customer because he won't be able to use his own EE 6 compliant server.
