I have created a Phone Book application (java), which runs in my computer. However, my friends suggests it is better to sync it with the phone . But, I have no idea about this.

How to sync it with the phone? Rather than typing the whole contacts in the phone to the desktop app, how can I provide them a better way to do it simply? something like with few touches in the phone? Is there any dedicated Java lib for this? I have no Java ME knowledge too.

Most researches I did on this ended up by giving no good, providing data about android sync, or something like samsung kies, or simply about how to use and download a sync software.

However, I am trying to work with .contact files. But there are some issues. Are those files platform independent (because wiki description is all about windows)? How to read them? Is there any specific jar to work wth them?

I have no idea about any of these. The only thing I want to do is providing a better and a faster way for the user to enter the contacts in the phone to the phonebook in the computer, rather than typing one by one. How can I do this? Please help!

Some say my phone must have sent an vcard, and windows converted it to .contacts.
