I know this seems very trivial compared to most of the discussions in here, but you all seem nice and would give better advice than most of my advisers;
I am just starting the direction in computer information systems(associate of computer science-for now) My next class is visual basic that i chose to take in 8 weeks instead of 16, is this a bad choice? I need general advice from those who know what classes they should have focused on better or classes to avoid if possible. I don't have to stay with CIS I can go for IT or certify for CIS or CIT. My goal is to just change careers totally from retail to anything $20,000 to 50,000 yearly with flexibility, where I can take it on the go. I really would like to get some hands on training within a job with the AAS and then go back to school for BA in same fields in another few years, after I get the basics down well.

Thank you,

Welcome to CR Jillian. Can you give us some more details to help answer your question ?

1. What will your class on VB cover ?
2. Are you also looking for advice on pursuing CIT Vs IT also ?

The class is on Clearly Visual Basic Programming with Microsoft visual basic 2010
I really don't know anyone who has taken on this field, personally, the tips you get from those who have been there done that.
If all goes well the next two semesters, i will have a certification in either CIS or CIT
I will need to go from there, and any information to help, is most appreciated.

Thank You
