Borders was my favorite bookstore to browse java books. It is gone now. Barners and Nobles is OK but does not have that many java books. Anybody knows any good bookstore ?

I imagine it will depend on where you are. Some cities still have good independent bookstores, but they are less common now than they used to be. And the quality of Barnes and Noble will vary depending on location as well - some are big and some are small. So: where are you?

I remember reading an article a year ago that speculated Borders' demise was due to the browsers -- large number of people who used the bookstore like a library. Barnes and Noble also had the same issue, but was rescued by their online business (via the Nook)... based on how Borders was used here in NYC, I am inclined to agree.
