Adding to the above post,

I read here

Set the property javac.pipe.output to true to send output messages to System.out. Set javac.pipe.output to false, that is, do not set it, to send output messages to System.err.

But not able to find out where to set the property. Please help.

Here's a (rather old) page on how to use the javac command: http://docs.oracle.com/javase/1.4.2/docs/tooldocs/windows/javac.html. I believe it's the -J option you're looking for.

Thanks Paul. I'm checking the link.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
