how to create dialog box in swing that will close automatically after some time.

Before showing the dialog, start a Swing Timer that calls dispose() or setVisible(false) from it's actionPerformed(...).
 
With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
