Hi,

I am new to Altova Mapforce. I would like to use that to convert from complext xls(which has multple tables, lot of headings, subheadings, sections) file with multiple sheets into corresponding XML file. How can I use it. ANy sample examples on using it. Any other better ideas to do it highly appreciated.
Any ideas, suggestions, sample code, links, source code highly appreciated. Thanks in advance

This doesn't seem to be related to Java, and certainly not to Beginning Java. You'll probably have a better chance of getting an answer using whatever support resources Altova provides.

Moving to the XML forum in case this question has to do with a Java API to the product that somebody there may be able to help with.

I went to the Mapforce home page and it didn't take very long for me to notice a link to a page about how to map Excel documents. Looks like exactly what you asked for.

Link looks good. But it outputs to OOXML but I need output as XML. What are the differences between OOXML and XML. Is there is link that outputs to XML. IS there is a way i can convert OOXML to XML. Please advise

That page says

XML data to/from Excel (OOXML)

That includes "XML data from Excel (OOXML)", doesn't it? Which certainly sounds like "output as XML" to me.

Here's a link to the Wikipedia article about OOXML: Office Open XML.

But really, these things I have been showing you are extremely easy to find on the internet. Don't you think it's about time you started looking for them yourself?
