Hi,

I use Maven 3.0.4

When executing mvn compile it displays errors like this:

As far as I am concerned (for example) error "cannot find symbol" should look like this:
cannot find symbol
symbol : class PointOfContact
location: class com.whatever.GenericSettings

It should state what symbol cannot be found etc. and it's not displayed.

The details are not given for any errors.
It's the same with mvn compile -e

Is there a way to change it?

It looks like you might be using JDK 7 - for some reasons the JDK 7 compiler doesn't display the syntax error details. (Note that the compilation error messages that are display come from the JDK's compiler, not from Maven.)
