Can I create an instance of StringBuilder class inside the run method of the thread?

Ummm... to build a String maybe? I assume he/she would then want to do something with that string, like print it maybe.

Is there something odd about creating a StringBuilder inside a run method, that makes it something that needs to be challenged? It seems a trivial thing to me. Then again, I don't know why the original question was even asked.

It may have been a trivial question to find out what happens if you …

And to find out what happens is a valid justification for everything in programming (except possibly deleting all your files on your C drive ‍)
