Rich tooltip is not working

I am trying to add tooltip to a textbox...but it is not working...I have tried followings




but none is working. I am using Richfaces 4.2.2final, JSF 2.0, JBoss server 7.1.1 final. Thanks in advance.

You have to define the tooltip as a child element of the inputText control. Just placing it next to the control won't work. Also (at least in RichFaces 3), tooltips only work on input controls, not on general objects such as panels (although that's not your problem).

You can have Rich tooltip outside the inputText tag, but you need to provide the for value which is same as id value of inputText tag.
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
