Difference between JRE and JVM

Can some one provide the difference between JRE and JVM?

Hi

JVM=Java virtual machine.. it is used to just convert the java code to class file with full of byte codes... but just think how it does.... from where it refers and identify the java classes,packages etc....... think in this way then you get the diff

No, that conversion--compilation--is done by the compiler. The JVM is the runtime environment that executes the compiled code.
