I read an article which encourages users to migrate their Spring apps to Java EE 6, claiming that
EE 6 is better than the Spring framework. Are these claims correct in any way ? Are there any better solutions than Spring out there ?

I am thinking of learning spring and I dont want to see that its adoption will reduce to zero by the time I become good at it.

Please advise.

Spring isn't going away. Oracle has stated that they plan to follow Spring's lead. Which means Spring will be ahead for the foreseeable future. JEE 6 is at least a viable option now. But Spring isn't going anywhere.

You'll use a lot of the same concepts in JEE 6 as Spring which helps you work on either.

Also, so many existing projects are using Spring, hence worth learning.
