in struts-config.xml file there is syntax like:

<forward name="ok" path="/nxt.jsp" redirect="true/false">

if we set redirect="true", does it mean it is just using "sendRedirect" ? Then since it is not using "forward", does it also mean any object that we saved in the session will NOT be carried over to next.jsp ?

I think you mean the request. The session stays across pages. It is the request that is wiped out by a redirect.

Do you mean the objects in the request is wiped out, or do you mean the httpRequest is wiped out ?
