If alreday iterator is there then what is the extra use of enumeration.sun people could have remove it. is there any such need where we cant use iterator or listiterator except this enumenaration.please help me with example because this question I faced two times in interview but till do not know the proper answare

Interview questions are different from ordinary questions. It is not simply what you say, but how you say it. What if Enumeration were removed from Java7 and somebody had a 15‑year old app which had worked perfectly with Enumeration? Remember Iterator was probably not available then. What will happen to the old app? Won’t it fail mysteriously? What if its designer has retired or died?
