Not yet started with Week2. Still stuck with the Week6 assignments from Scala.

Did anyone already complete the Week2? I'm thinking to start them this weekend. Seems like an awful amount of videos are made available for Week2.

I'm about to start HW 2.3, so I'm most of the way there. There are a lot of short videos, each dealing with different aspects of querying/updating in MongoDB, first in the JavaScript shell, then using Python. None of it is hard, but it's a lot of material to sit through, probably a couple of hours at least.

It's also worth downloading the lesson files (links under "Course Handouts" on the "Course Info" page), as these include a load of Python scripts that are useful for reference when you get to the homework, and a JavaScript file to load a bunch of student exam grades into the DB so we have a common set of data for the exercises/homework..

You'll need to make sure you're using Mongo v.2.2 for the first two homework exercises, because there are a a couple of "aggregate" queries you are told to run to check the answers, which won't work in older versions.

HW 2.1 is just Mongo shell queries/sorting - they tell you to run an aggregate query as part of the setup for this, but you don't need to do this in the actual task for HW2.1. HW 2.2 is a bit more complicated - you need to write a bit of Python (or JS) to find some data and remove it, then check the results using an aggregate query they provided. The final homework 2.3 is about the blog application we're supposed to be building with Python/Bottle, but it's really easy - just two lines of Python.

2.3 uncovered that I had the wrong version of bottle. The cookies weren't stored with version 12-dev
