Hi,

I am currently developing an Evernote-or-Dropbox-like app. Can anyone here suggest a free cloud platform I could use ? I know there are few paid cloud platform like Microsoft Windows Azure or Amazon EC2, but I am looking for a free one.
Thanks.

Hosting -especially cloud hosting that goes beyond providing passive online space- is an expensive business; I think it's unlikely you'll find what you're looking for.

Hi

You can use QuickBlox, which is a cloud hosted platform to simplify your mobile app backend development. Try the Content Sample, you can use upload files, and create your own data-types. QuickBlox uses Amazon EC2 Platform.

Check http://quickblox.com/developers/SimpleSample-content-android

They also provide Chat, Messages, Notifications, Ratings modules, and support for other Mobile OS and Web, if you want to build a Cross-Platform Solution.

Happy 2013!
