ArrayList says false in emulator

My application works, but the ArrayList says false in the list as it loads up. But when I add to the list it adds the strings to the list and the false disappears. What can I do to make the ArrayList not show anything just to be blank? Additionally a TextView shows false also in the dialog box. Are the problems related? Any thoughts?

Its time for debugging. try debug your code with IDE.
specially this line? is it returning a expected results?
