Hi All,
I just passed OCWCD 5 on 24 Nov,2012. I am starting this thread because before taking this exam I was very confused about books and preparation material. I have consulted Head first servlet and jsps.I would suggest ppl to give time to this book and to work out those after chapter questions. I read the book twice , though i couldn't practice every example of the book on my comp but I felt good when my first program run without using IDE.
One thing I would bring to notice is that the book though claims to be for scwcd5 but its material are mostly for j2ee 1.4 . So be conscious to it.
Another point, I appeared in the exam with 5 more friends . While they read only dumps and scored about 97-100 marks, mine summed up to 75. But I am proud of my effort.
I would like you guys who want to appear to focus more on jsps explanation of custom tags and filters because they are a bit confusing. I lost mostly at deployment of the app where I had put very less effort taking things for granted as if I was deployment guru .
But the learning doesn't stop with certification. Now I am focused on OCBCD and web services . Hope you guys find this thread useful.
Thanks and Regards,
Aditya Narayan
