Hello,

I just have passed EJB exam and I need your opinion regarding my next exam.

My heart is at software engineering but many times when I create something for my hobby, I always wished I knew more about the Database and SQL queries, etc.

Now the problem is, I cannot decide whether to take JPA exam or to move on to the OCP DBA exams.

Which one should I go for?

A good software engineer should know about databases and sql as well. But DB administration, imho, goes a little beyond what a good s/w engineer is expected to know. I am not sure what are the requirements for a DBA certification, but if it involves a lot of administration kind of topics, JPA is what you should go with.
