I might be repetitive - sorry if it is so - but i got a bit confused after reading the reviews of the many frameworks available.
I wanted to start a task management system and time sheet later on add modules to it to make it a better project management system. I heard the JSF is still maturing , i finally am caught up between struts and spring. Could come one please help me with this. I would not love to use spring just because it is currently a widely heard buzzword

Thanks and Regards

To steal an analogy from another thread, Web Frameworks are like cars. Some people like Fords. Some people like Chevrolet. You won't know which one you will like until you test drive a few of them.

There are hundreds of threads in this forum, the Struts forum, and the JSF forum that discuss differences, advantages, disadvantages, etc between all the different options. I'd suggest doing a bit of grunt work and searching for these posts as well as googling for similar discussions. The reason I say this is because I might suggest Wicket, Jason might suggest Struts, and Rick might suggest JSF. A we all will give you valid points as to why. But until you work with them, you'll never really know which one you want to use.

THere is a open source consulting firm that produced a white paper comparing different web-frameworks.

It is done by Matt Raible and can be found here
