The Oracle tutorial explains both in detail. Another good thing to search for when starting out is MVC (model view controller). MVC works by having the servlet go first and just use the JSP for display.

I get the impression this doesn't answer your question. Can you elaborate on what you want to know?

i want to exactly know what do Servlets and JSPs do ? i know when we use HTML in java code then it is called Servlet and when we use java code in HTML then it is called JSP, but i dont understand what is the meaning of use HTML in java code or use java code in HTML ? what is the result and using of these? i think i dont know the concept of Sevlet and JSP!

Oh! The point of them is usually to create a webpage with dynamic content or user interaction. Dynamic content is when you display different data to different users or the data comes from a database. User interaction is things like submitting forms.
