Hello Experts,

I have a requirement where I need to call a SOAP based web service from a Java application ; no web server is available.
I have a URL to the WSDL and need to supply 2 input values and extract a string from the response xml.

Do we need to have a web server (like Tomcat) to call a SOAP web service? Can we call a SOAP web service from a Jdk 1.6 program?
Please provide an example if it can be done.

Thanks
