Hi ,
I am a looking for a quickstart guide for developign UML diagrams -(use cases , sequence diagrams ) for a program i am trying to develop. Can anybody help me with any online resources?

Well, I'd say that it's kindda hard to put everything that UML offers in a quick guide... it's quite a broad subject. But I'd recommed to you Martin Fowler's
UML Distilled: A Brief Guide to the Standard Object Modeling Language
. The book's title says "brief"!
