Terminator Salvation - terminated due to bug

Hiii,

I am big fan of terminator franchise, I was very much disappointed due to the poor story line in terminator salvation,

I really wonder what would be ideal story for the franchise in the future editions

1.) John Conner father would be Skynet ( Actually Kyle Reese is captured and converted to a cybrog (one and only model) at genetic level, he carries the intelligence, chars etc of skynet ) Thus actual fight is between skynet Vs skynet.... without end.

2.) John Conner is killed in year 2090 AD but his engineering team tries to retrieve him with a new technology thus accidentally injecting skynet code into his brain ( of-course containing a neural chip), thus John has all the chars of skynet resulting in a stalemate...

3.) When John was kid, his wife father secretly tried to download his mind into a computer, thus skynet is fundamentally John Conner in AI form... in final episode John realize this and commits suicide resulting in a identification bug in skynet ( Which assumes it is also dead) thus shuts it-self down.

I would open the forum for your imagination run wild!!! trying bringing T-800 model into the above equation; I suppose a beautiful story line emerges

i am sorry, but that is the worst plot/storyline that i have ever heard

That's a bit harsh. Good storytelling is hard (as evidenced by the walls of dreck coming out of Hollywood). First passes and rough drafts are frequently in need of a lot of refinement before they are finished.

I once heard John Lassiter talking about the first pass at Toy Story, and how dreadful it was. I've also had a chance to gander at the first pass of some of the better Star Trek episodes, and yeah, they got a lot of work before shooting started. And anyone who's done a Manning MEAP knows that the first pass of the chapters are far from ready for print.

In any case, I'm a big fan of the original first two Terminator movies (I don't care how often you say it, there was no 3rd movie -- just like there were only 3 Indiana Jones films, and only 3 Star Wars films). The TV show The Sarah Connor Chronicles was excellent; I was very disappointed when it got sacked. I saw Terminator Salvation, but I don't remember much about it, so it must have been pretty forgettable. But I do remember not hating it.

Yeah, some sequels ... are not that good.

I'd have to differ about Indiana Jones though - the second is the one that wasn't.

Temple of Doom was a silly movie -- but it was supposed to be. I remember being exhausted at its end when I saw it in the theatre because it was such non-stop thrill ride. To me, that means success.

But to each -- I can understand that different people can have different reactions to movies. Except for David Lynch's Dune. That sucked eggs and no one should think otherwise.

I didn't see that movie, but I don't understand how the Dune with Captain Piccard can ever suck. That's art!

There were actually aspects of the Dune movie that were excellent -- Patrick Stewart is pretty much incapable of being anything but -- but the dreadful aspects trounce the good things into the dirt like muddy boots stomping a delicate butterfly.

I thought the Matrix was brilliant, but the problem was that it referred to a lot of philosophy that Americans are not familiar with. The CashCowski (or whatever their names are) came up with an awesome idea, but they aren't good story tellers. They failed to see this from the point of the viewer, and explain the story. It went from Neo seeing through the illusion to well.. what is the Architect talking about again?.. and who is that little girl in the train again?.. and how the f*ck did Neo get from the real world to the fake world by taking a train? Also, a lot of the backstory was in the DVD, not the movies.. so you had to watch the DVD, which well... just pisses me off.

Edit: Oh we were talking about Terminator not Matrix.. Sorry

I want to see a story that features the terminator from the Sarah Chronicles. She was awesome. I think the backstory to Terminator started with a mindscrew, that the creators are digging themselves into a hole by trying to outdo the mindscrew. They should forget about the whole "How did skynet start?", and just focus on what the people want.. watch a terminator kick some ass, and humans survive!! They can make a lot of terminator-protector/terminator-villian/human-survivor stories
The airline is called "Virgin"? Don't you want a plane to go all the way? This tiny ad will go all the way:
