Despite the rapid growth of interest in Scala and functional programming, it seems that practical industry experience of building real-world systems with Scala is still relatively limited. This means it is hard for new adopters to bridge the substantial gap between learning the Scala language and the principles of FP, and implementing robust real-world applications on a commercial basis. We don't have the same depth or breadth of industry experience, reference material and other resources that are available for people developing with Java/JEE for example.
To what extent does "Scala In Action" attempt to address these problems, and what other resources would you recommend for practical commercial Scala development?
No more Blub for me, thank you, Vicar.
