Hi,

On Feb 14, my new book on OCMJEA was launched and currently available in US, Europe and India.

The book starts with an introduction followed by a chapter on each of the objectives containing a total of 300 questions with detailed explanations. Also there is a detailed coverage of the assignment and essay exam.

For folks in USA: http://www.amazon.com/Oracle-Certified-Enterprise-Architect-Practice/dp/148254654X/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1361156933&sr=1-2

For folks in UK: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Oracle-Certified-Enterprise-Architect-Practice/dp/148254654X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1361156988&sr=8-1

For folks in India: http://pothi.com/pothi/book/amritendu-de-oracle-certified-master-java-ee-enterprise-architect-practice-guide

For folks in Germany: http://www.amazon.de/Oracle-Certified-Enterprise-Architect-Practice/dp/148254654X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1361157028&sr=8-1

All links have a preview of the book. If you wish to, please have a look.

Hi Amritendu, I have started OCMJEA 6 and have attended the course and passed 1Z0-807. I now need to do the assignment. I received the 'Retire Early' assignment. I purchased the OCM Java EE 6 Enterprise Architect Exam Guide but it is a bit vague on the assignment.

I come from a .Net background but have worked with Java, REST, Mule ESB, Hybrid mobile, EJB, Spring, Hibernate for the past 2.5 years.

I see you have also written a book and I am going to purchase it. I 1st want to decide on a design pattern for the solution but need some guidance of how to start/approach it?

Thank you
Ryan

There is no one size fits all solution. My book is on OCMJEA 5 but the assignment remains same. I would suggest you go through the problem more than once. Understanding the problem is the key. Search old posts on your assignment and see how people in this forum have approached the problem. It will help you get some idea how to proceed. In my book there are suggestions on how to approach the problem and pick up technology choices for example I would suggest stick to Oracle products for the solution. Lastly be simple in your approach and document all your assumptions. Lot of people have passed the certification and there's no reason why you will not. Best of luck!!
