hello everyone,

Well, the thread title is basically my problem. A web service previously running on Websphere in Windows is migrated to AIX with still the same version of Websphere. So now I cant access it. The ff exception occurs:

SocketException: Connection reset

Is this a network or firewall problem? or is this caused by the migration to aix and therefore, code changes for accessing the web service need to be changed

Thanks.. I would appreciate any form of help.

It's developed in Java right? I have never worked with Websphere.

I suggest using Apache HTTP Monitor to proxy client-server communication.

When it's working, we're able to see raw XML envelopes with Monitor, it's very good to see what client is sending and what server is actually responding. And when we have problems we can see at first hand what they are fighting about.

In your case you could see when exactally the connection is being reseted, what they talked before the reset, and maybe see in messages what caused the reset or some error message that neither client and server are outputting.
