Hello,
In my Glassfish admin console I have specified 'javax.sql.DataSource' as my resource type.

Now it is asking, "Select or enter vendor-specific classname that implements the DataSource and/or XADataSource APIs". It doesn't give me anything to select so I must enter the classname.
Could someone tell me what I should put here and guide me as to where to find this type of information in the future?

Thanks.

P.S. This is a fresh install of everything using adf-essentials.

The wizard can't help you here because the name is at the vendor's discretion. Each DB vendor provides software of a DataSource type that helps you connect to their DB server. If you're using an Oracle product, the driver class may be named oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver, or something similar. For MySQL, something like com.mysql.jdbc.Driver.

Go to Oracle's site and get the notes for installing the driver you need.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
