Framework for Web Layer? Struts2 or Spring MVC?

I need to choose a web layer for my new application. I am about to go for Spring MVC. But my coleagues are saying that why we can't use Struts2. But they are not able to make me clear and i don't have knowledge on Struts2. Please suggest me which one i can choose and why?

If you search this forum you will get different answers its a question that has been asked often. I like Spring MVC but the 2 frameworks are similar in what they offer. I think if you are using other Spring projects that Spring MVC is better just from an integration perspective, although Struts 2 can integrate with Spring too. I think a lot of opinions boil down to which one a person is already the most comfortable with.

-Note Struts 1 is obviously not considered.
