Yesterday I tried to register with PearsonVUE to take the 1Z0-803 exam.

However , the exam costs 300$ (a huge sum for my country , a 4 person family can eat for 2 months with 300$) , and the VAT tax (25% in my country) makes the total cost to 375$.

This is very expensive for me , I am seriously considering giving it up.

Anyway , if I buy the voucher from Oracle , then when I register with PearsonVUE for this exam , will I still be required to pay the 75$ VAT ?
Can anyone please tell me that.

I also noticed that PearsonVUE has a section where you can input a discount code (just below the one where you input the voucher). How can I get a discount code , does anyone know this ?

Thank you for any reply , I appreciate any information you can give me regarding these issues.

Please tell me if I will pay VAT on PearsonVUE if I buy the 300$ voucher form Oracle. The 75$ VAT is a lot of money for me.

Sometimes you get a job after writing the exam.

I do agree with user meeta gaur. His atitude is the best , get a job and work hard to earn this certification is by far the path to success.

And I realise that I complained too much about the price. I mean even if it is expensive , it is valuable enough to be worth 300$.

I do however wonder if I could skip paying 25% VAT tax , did anyone buy the Oracle voucher and can tell me if he was also required to pay VAT for his exam ?

Myke, I don't know the answer to your question, but for example here in the Netherlands, and I guess it's the same in other countries, you always have to pay VAT, but if a company pays, they can deduct the VAT.

If you're paying for the exam as a private person, then you most likely cannot deduct the VAT. If you want to be sure, call Oracle Education in your country and ask them.

After trying various locations on PearsonVUE site I found out that in some countries the cost of the exam is only $150 and there is no need to pay VAT. The countries are: Russia, Belarus, India. It's very likely there a quite a few more, but I did not check further.
I live in Latvia, the cost of the exam here is $300+$63 vat and I plan to go to Minsk,Belarus to take exam there. Of course- I will need to pay for visa and transportation, but it's still way cheaper.

Myke, in what country do you live? Maybe the exam in neighbor country is cheaper?
