path back to forum: other feedback

I really like the 'ranch' art design!

It feels a little claustrophobic though, for me. Maybe because I'm used to the white space of what we have in the old design. Is there a way to make the message area a little bigger and the whole a bit brighter?

I understand that I can just hit back-arrow to go back to the forum that hosts the message I'm viewing, but I think it's nice to have the navigation path on display, e.g., the JavaRanch >> JavaForums >> RanchOffice controls on the top of this page. Is there a way to bring that back? If I want to go to another forum altogether (kind of rare, usually I just have a single problem that I am focused on in the moment), then going to JavaForums and finding it from there is fine. I don't really envision using any of the big long list of navigation buttons on the left, and would rather have more space.

But I realize I am but one lone cow-hand on a large ranch...

Will we have the fly animation in the new design?

I'm using Firefox 19.0.2 on Windows XP.

Is there no way to edit a post now? I had to make a second post to add this info, and would just have soon edited the previous.

I don't believe the 'edit' option has been implemented in the beta view. You can switch back to the normal view and the edit button should be there (assuming the edit window hasn't elapsed).
