Hmmm... I love those groovy grapes!
I really find maven tedious for little demo projects.
Is there a counter part to groovy grapes for java programmers that will download the necessary jar files and stick them in the class path and just run the program without all that maven nonsense with the fancy directory structure and pom.xml file?

I hope so...

I wanted to run a little demo program of spring contexts and decided it was easier to use groovy grapes and rename the files to have the extension of groovy.

I just tried compiling this groovy program with grapes in it and discovered that it does not work very well. I assume groovy grapes only work in interpretive mode for groovy. Hmm...

I tried renaming my files to have a java extension again and manually setting up the class path to my maven repository for spring-context-support-3.1.1.RELEASE.jar and I don't have it right yet...

So is there anything like groovy grapes for java programmers to mitigate the classpath blues (besides maven)?
Thanks
Siegfried
