I tried to deploy the echo client in websphere 8.0.I had build this with jdk1.6.I have given the parent last at both application and war level. Also i had to copy the xml.jar from jdk1.6 to
web-inf/lib before facing this issue. Before i was getting error not able to find xpath.

IBM in their infinite wisdom have rolled their own JVM. I would guess that one of your libraries you should just be scoping as provided and using the one provided by Websphere. FInd out what libraries are in conflict. It sounds like you are already using load parent last which was going to be my other suggestion.

I read that and excluded the jar files they mentioned.Currently iam using xml.jar file of ibm jdk and loading that with parent last.Still iam seeing the same issue.

I could get past the issue by getting rid of 2 jars in shared library of websphere.
one is namespace.jar and xalan.jar.But both these jars are required by other applications in the application servers.
But the issue here is even though i had given parent_last why it's conflicting with the one with shared library.
What are my options?Removing the two jar in shared library is not an option.
