Dear CodeRanch members
For a school project we had to implement an Access database in a java project.
All good, the implementing went hard but after all it's up and running.
Now my question is: is it possible to install ODBC drivers on a mac, so I don't always have to run Windows virtually because of this stupid Access DB? (This drains my battery!)
I googled alot and found some solutions but I just don't know where to start.

Btw I don't need to be able to edit the Database on my mac, just get data out of it using Java.

Greatly appreciating any help
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the fast reply!
Could you please help me with installing that?
What to do after I got that map downloaded?
They say "3. tar xvf unixODBC*.tar" but I've no idea what to do

You will have to go to the command shell, and execute that command, literally as given un the instructions.
