Do you believe that there is an age (upper) limit for an IT career?

I'm 63 and my team lead just turned 74. I think it depends on the industry. We're in healthcare systems integration.

Hello,
great idea about a book.

I am not sure which is the limit,
would be interesting to know...
Are there any studies on the market ?

I am 35, working in Healthcare support and have lot of former colleagues are having problems getting a new job or go on there career with above 50 years age.

Cheers

I think the age limit may be more about that individual. There are many who, later in life, have a different focus than the grind of adopting new technologies. ie: those who are older may want to use their wisdom more, serve in a leadership role.

However, I know a woman who is elderly who hacks PHP and does video editing for a number of small businesses. It is what she loves to do.
