subject: How to increase a job opportuni in USA when your work experiences were build outside USA, in your Country, in central american

two 2 months ago, i moved to USA, my education (BS in computer science, 5 years) and all my IT work experiences (mainly as programmer, some DBA, 10 years ) were rooted and build in my country, in central america.

To get a better chance of job opportunity in USA, should i go for some certifications to add them to my resume so that they support my work experience in the IT field? what about an internship or volunteer in a non-goverment organization?

Sincerely,
SAML

I would definitely look into internships and volunteer opportunities prior to getting another certification.

You might also look for companies here that have presence in Central America. Your language skills may be a great help and a competitive advantage.
