I finally got a new computer! It's used, but I've been assured it's a very powerful machine. My question is: Where do I plug in the monitor?

You need to get that keyboard working first. That sort of machine doesn’t have a fan in, so you have to get air in and out the thing yourself to keep the chip cool.
No airflow→overheating→no output.

This computer pre-dates monitors -- you interpret the output from the sounds it makes.

In that case, all I'm getting is "Fatal Error."

I am thinking we are all wrong here !! This computer maybe from the future , where there are no monitors at all and the computer sends brain waves signals directly into the mind !

"Achy-Breaky Heart", repeated ad nauseum.

Consider Paul's rocket mass heater.
